HFHS's 6th Annual Bocce Ball Tournament

HFHS 6th Annual Bocce Tournament was on October 23, 2011 at the Sons of Italy Lodge in Wheat Ridge.  The newly formed Holy Family High School Alumni Association hosted the tournament for the very first time.  Tom O’Brien, ’62 served  as the Tournament Chairman. Marianne Alonzi, ‘63, long time HFHS Tournament Planner served as mentor to the committee.  Committee members included Peggy Jones, ‘54 , Elaine O’Brien, ’62,  Leanne DiTirro, ’70, Kelli Frank, ’95, Nicki Rondinelli, ’98 and Patty Gabriel, ’70.  Special committee members included Anna Droll, Events Coordinator and Martin Barrett, Director of Development at HFHS.  Anna and Martin stepped in for Patty when she broke her ankle two days before the tournament and for that the Committee and Patty thank them!

The event was a great success and was enjoyed by people of all ages beginning at 7 months old!  The winner of the overall tournament was the Bada Bing #1 team.  The team members are 4peat tournament winners.  The three generation group includes Buddy, Brett, Bill, Nico, Mark and Enzo Elliott.  They are off to the Rome, NY Bocce World Series in the fall of 2012 as their tournament prize!
