Student Life - Clubs


  • AMBASSADOR CLUB provides the opportunity for students to represent the school in public relations. Members serve as hosts for recruitment events, information sessions, and tours. (Meets Access 2nd and 3rd Thursday chapel)
  • ART CLUB is to inspire the creativity abilities of young artists.  It will provide an opportunity for all students interested in the arts to explore the possibilities that the arts can bring to their lives.  (Meets every Tuesday in RM 212)
  • CAMPUS MINISTRY helps plan prayer opportunities and masses and is involved in all aspects of spiritual development. With an emphasis on including a variety of students and faculty as participants, Campus Ministry’s purpose is to enhance the spiritual nature of Holy Family High School and put faith into action. (Meets Access every Monday in the Campus Ministry Office)
  • CHEMISTRY CLUB provides an opportunity for students interested in chemistry to further their investigation and participate in demonstrations and special presentations related to chemistry.  (Meets Access 2nd Wednesday RM 200)
  • CHESS CLUB students play chess, checkers and other strategy games. Students learn the rules, history and strategies of chess. (Meets Access every Tuesday RM 108)
  • CITIZENSHIP CLUB is a club which seeks to strengthen American democracy by education and preparing students for life-long involvement and responsible leadership in a democratic society. Meets Access 1st, 3rd, 5th Wed RM 106)
  • CREATIVE WRITING CLUB is a creative, safe, supportive environment in which writers of all kinds can give and receive honest, positive and constructive peer feedback in order to improve and encourage their work. (Meets 2nd and 4th Thursdays, after school, in RM 115)
  • CULINARY CLUB students learn cooking skills and are exposed to various cultures through ethnic foods made by members. Students share recipes that are compiled into a cookbook. This is the most delicious club in school. (Meets Access 2nd and 4th Wednesday RM 112)
  • FRENCH CLUB enhances student knowledge of French culture by celebrating French holidays, cuisine and films. Participation in the French Club broadens student understanding of French culture. (Meets Access 1st and 3rd Thursday RM 211)
  • GUITAR CLUB is for guitar players of all levels of experience.  Increase your understanding of music and improve your performing ability. (Meets Access 1st, 3rd, 5th Thursday RM 111) 
  • International Thespian Society / DRAMA (Thespians) is an international organization for high school students involved in drama and theatrical activities. Students must earn membership into Thespians by collecting points through their involvement in school theatre productions. (Meets Access 1st, 3rd, 5th Wednesday in Music Room)
  • LATIN CLUB promotes a deeper understanding of the values of the Roman civilization and its importance for today’s world.  Latin Club also enhances the study of Latin and fosters good citizenship through its activities. (Meets Access 1st, 3rd and 5th Thursday RM 210)
  • Literary Magazine is an annual publication of student poetry and art.  This group is comprised of student editors and support staff responsible for reading, selecting, editing, and publishing voluntary submissions by students. (Meets Access 2st and 4rd Monday RM 104)
  • LITURGY MUSIC CLUB plans and leads the music for school liturgies.  A variety of singers, musicians, and types of music enhance all-school liturgies. (Meets Access every Tuesday and Thursday in the Music Room)
  • MATH CLUB encourages students interested in mathematics to participate in math competitions and provides opportunities for students to investigate areas of interest. (Meets after school RM 204)
  • MISSION CLUB conducts service and outreach activities to help the less fortunate in the community.  Activities include canned food drives, serving at community soup kitchens, and assisting the elderly. (Meets Access every Wednesday RM 115)
  • MOCK TRIAL will stimulate and encourage a deeper understanding and appreciation of the American legal system.  The club provides students the opportunity to participate actively in the learning process; competitions are in Feb/Mar.  (Meets Access 2nd and 4th Monday RM 105)
  • NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY recognizes and encourages academic achievement while striving to develop scholarship, character, service and positive leadership. (Meets Access 1st Thursday RM 201)
  • PHILOSOPHY CLUB explores the worlds of personal and professional philosophy with the goal of understanding a wide variety of different questions and answers that continually challenge thinkers.  (Meets Access 2nd and 4th Tuesday RM 111)
  • READING CLUB encourages all students to discuss new and favorite books, and to promote literary activities. (Meets Access 1st and 3rd (5th) Monday – RM 215)
  • Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica – recognizes high student achievement in Spanish and promotes a continuity of interesting in Hispanic studies.  (meets 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month)
  • SCIENCE CLUB is for students interested in the natural sciences and engineering. The club provides education and career guidance opportunities for the members. (Meets 2nd Wed RM 105)
  • SPANISH CLUB emphasizes the cultural activities of the Hispanic world and is an important part of the study of the Hispanic language and culture. (Meets Access 2nd and 4th Thursday – RM 213)
  • SPEECH AND DEBATE TEAM sharpens public speaking skills; challenges students on current issues and participates in competitions throughout the metropolitan area. (Meets Access every Tuesday RM 109)
  • STUDENT ADVISORY COUNCIL (SAC) provides students an avenue to voice their ideas and opinions and to advise the principal on matters of importance within the school community. (Meets monthly TBD)
  • STUDENT COUNCIL is a group of student officers elected by the entire school body who organize various activities and events with the goal of promoting school spirit and unity. (Meets every Tuesday in RM 115)
  • TRI-M Music Honor Society- recognizes the achievements of our music students. Students involved help generate ideas about the Holy Family music department and the community.  (Meets 2 and 4th Wednesdays in Music Room)
