Apostolic Ministry Program

Holy Family students are required to be a part of our Apostolic Ministry program. Each year students are asked to design an Apostolic Ministry Project as a part of Holy Family’s four year Ministry Project. Each year the expectations vary in the area of service. This is such an important part of who we are as a school, that completion of this program is required for graduation.

The Goal of the Program : The goal is to give every student a full range of experiences in the area of service with a program that calls for reflection and learning from the experiences. As Catholic Christians we follow the example of Jesus to be a people who welcome the lost, heal the sick, comfort the sorrowing and reach out to those in need. These good habits are natural for all of us to an extent but still need nurturing. The program is designed to include all areas of life: home, school and the broader community. The program is designed to give lots of ideas and support to the student while encouraging their initiative and responsibility.

Area of Service Required::

Freshmen: Service in the family, to the family, with the family or for the environment
Sophomores: Service in the school or the parish.
Juniors: Service in the broader community working directly with people of special needs (normally outside the family ). Two different organizations or two different areas.
