High School is not only a time filled with academic achievement, and individual accomplishment; it is also the period of a young person’s life during which he or she begins to decide what kind of adult they will become. Today’s students are influenced by complex social problems and pressures the likes of which had not been seen during previous generations. Students are forced to deal with these pressures while still attempting to succeed in and out of the classroom. The faculty and staff of Holy Family High School are here to help in any way possible, but it is also imperative that parents, family, and friends of the students are well aware of the issues facing students in the modern day world.

The Holy Family Counseling Center has compiled a list of internet resources that will help educate parents on current issues, trends, and problems that high school students are forced to deal with on a daily basis. These resources may not fix the problem, but being knowledgeable on these subjects is half the battle. Further updates will be provided on this site, and in the Holy Family Newsletter.

Cyber bullying is a growing problem that affects almost fifty percent of U.S. teens. It is important that students, and their family members, know how to effectively deal with this problem. The Anti-Defamation League has set up a system of guidelines in order to aid in this process.
