Holy Family Community,
Holy Family High School athletes will be allowed back to school facilities for in-person training with their teams beginning Tuesday, June 16. Broomfield County health officials and the Archdiocese recently approved our detailed Return to Play Guidelines.
The strict health and safety guidelines that follow Colorado’s social distancing regulations will be enforced. Student athletes will be spread out at school facilities with a restricted number of participants allowed in one area at a time.
All student athletes and staff participating in the summer conditioning program will be required to go through a brief, daily health screening that includes a temperature check before being allowed to participate. In addition, a short Online Health Evaluation Form must be completed each day prior to the student athlete participating (the link to this form is below).
Participation in these training sessions is strictly voluntary, not mandatory. If at any time a parent, or student athlete, has any concerns please contact Athletic Director Ben Peterson, email@example.com
During this initial first phase of student athletes back on school campus (June 15 – July 3) all training will be done outdoors. Phase Two (July 6 – 24) will tentatively reintroduce indoor training and use of equipment.
There are 3 important documents that must be signed before an athlete can participate.
- Return to Play Student Family Manual (Appendix II must be signed)
- Student Athlete Activities Release (must be signed)
- Student Athlete Preliminary Insurance Acknowledgement (must be signed)
In addition, the short Health Evaluation Form must be completed ONLINE each day prior to the student athlete participating on that day.
Also, there is a one-time $100 HFHS Summer Conditioning Program fee. Coaches will be following up with you in the coming days with a link to complete the Summer Conditioning Program Registration & pay the fee.
IMMEDIATE ACTION: If you have read the guidelines in the Return to Play Student Family Manual and plan to participate, you need to email either Dean Dodero firstname.lastname@example.org or Everett Ridderbos email@example.com by 8:00 PM, Sunday, June 14. Please let Dean or Everett know the student athlete’s name and which sport they prefer to be grouped with for workouts.
Dean and Everett will coordinate the schedule and will email it out by 6:00 p.m. Mon. evening, June 15.
We are going to be extremely cautious and strictly follow all guidelines. Our goal is to ease back into action.
