Holy Family Community,
With the health and safety of our students, staff, and community paramount, I’m reaching out to inform you that we were made aware this evening a member of our Holy Family High School community has tested positive for COVID-19.
The individual is asymptomatic and was last on the Holy Family campus last week on Tuesday, July 21.
While the CDC requires contact tracing for the previous 48 hours prior to an asymptomatic positive test, we believe in full transparency and wanted the Holy Family community to be aware – although it has been eight days since this individual was last on campus. Full contact tracing is being conducted by the appropriate local health department per CDC guidelines.
Initial information suggests that the individual contracted the virus away from the Holy Family campus. However, out of an abundance of caution, we are canceling the final day of summer conditioning tomorrow, Thursday, July 30, to perform a thorough cleaning of the facility.
No immediate action is required on your part. Individuals who were potentially exposed will be contacted by the local health department.
As always, we ask that you be vigilant and monitor your health conditions closely, and contact your primary care physician for future guidance.
