Educating the Whole Person: SPIRIT, MIND and BODY
Accepting applications for TRANSFER students for the Spring of 2020 and FRESHMAN for the 2020-2021 school year!

Lisa Cillessen was born and raised in Arvada, Colorado, attending Shrine of St. Anne's until 8th grade and then graduating from Standley Lake High School. She received her degree in English Literature with a minor in Secondary Education from Metropolitan State University of Denver, and her Masters in Creative Writing from Regis. The Next Great American Novel will have to wait though, because she is raising four children with her husband Jeremiah. Maddy, Taylor, Connor, and Lily claim their mom is "not as crazy as one might expect after seeing her teach."

Lisa was awarded a fellowship to be a British University Summer Scholar at the Globe Theatre in London in 2010, where audiences are still raving about her performance as Lady Macbeth. She taught in a tent for a summer in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire where the mosquitoes are still raving about her skin. Lisa taught at Standley Lake from 2006-2015, when she jumped at the opportunity to come to Holy Family, where she gets to teach AND parent all day! Lisa enjoys reading, photography, and good movies in her five minutes of spare time.
